More than 500 people suffocated due to the dust storm

The Iraqi Ministry of Health announced, “More than 500 people were injured by suffocation, as a result of the dust storm that struck the country yesterday, Friday,” according to “Novosti” agency.

And she explained, “The institutions of the Ministry of Health in Baghdad and other governorates received more than 515 cases of suffocation, as a result of the dust storm that occurred in several regions of the country yesterday, Friday,” noting that “the cases of the injured are different.”

He pointed out that “the necessary health care has been provided to them, and their health condition is being monitored, under the supervision of the Minister of Health, Salih al-Hasnawi, and that ambulances are on alert to avoid any problems.” He stated that “the majority of the injured have left hospitals,” stressing that “no deaths have been recorded among citizens.”
