“Moroccan Innovations: Neo Motors and NamX Driving Sustainable Growth and Economic Development”

The first project relates to a car from Neo Motors, a company owned by Moroccan capital and the second is a prototype of a hydrogen vehicle, the Hydrogen Utility Vehicle (HUV), from NamX, a company run by the young Moroccan entrepreneur Faouzi Annajah, details the media “Diplomacy&Commerce”.

These initiatives, which are a source of pride for Morocco, bring the Kingdom into a new era of innovation and sustainability in accordance with the Sovereign’s High Guidelines, the media maintains, specifying that HM the King’s vision is to guide the private sector towards productive investments, particularly in advanced and promising sectors.

This strategy aims to stimulate the emergence of a new generation of businesses in the Kingdom, thus promoting economic growth and development.

For its part, the media “BalkanTV” notes that Neo Motors is in the process of establishing an industrial complex in Aïn Aouda, just outside the capital, Rabat, which should produce vehicles intended for the local market and the export, thus creating more than 500 jobs.

With an annual production capacity of 27,000 units and a budget of 156 million dirhams (15 million dollars), the Neo project should have a significant impact on the automotive industry, assures the same source.

For its part, “Biznis.rs” underlines that in February, the Moroccan Road Safety Agency granted the final authorization for the first vehicle of Neo Motors. The company has since kicked off pre-production and its factory inauguration is scheduled for June 2023.

The first car “made in Morocco” should be sold on the local market at an average price of 170,000 dirhams (15,000 dollars), details the Serbian electronic platform.

The other project, the NamX hydrogen vehicle prototype, is expected to see the light of day in 2025, reports “Autoblog.rs”, noting that the HUV model will be equipped with a central hydrogen tank, supplemented by six removable capsules for offer great autonomy and facilitate hydrogen refueling in a few minutes.

Morocco is currently the leading car manufacturer in Africa. In the first three months of 2023, exports of the Moroccan automotive industry reached 3.4 billion dollars, marking a 44% increase year-on-year, adds the Serbian portal.

In September 2022, Morocco launched an ambitious industrial plan aimed at increasing the production capacity of electric cars in two years, in order to reach an annual production of 100,000 units, i.e. double the current production, indicates the same source.

And to conclude that these initiatives underline the Sovereign’s desire to encourage and promote pioneering national entrepreneurial initiatives and the creative capacities, in particular of Moroccan youth, that these projects embody.
