Morocco extends the state of health emergency until June 30

Today, Thursday, the Moroccan government decided to extend the validity period of the state of health emergency throughout the country until June 30, as part of efforts to combat the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The official spokesman of the Moroccan government, Mustapha Baitas, said – during a press conference after the cabinet meeting today, according to the Moroccan News Agency – that the Council of Government approved a draft decree on extending the validity period of the state of health emergency in all parts of Morocco to confront the outbreak of the Corona virus (Covid-19). ).

Paytas explained that the draft decree, which was presented by the Moroccan Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, aims to extend the period of validity of the state of health emergency throughout Morocco, from Tuesday, May 31, at six o’clock in the evening, until Thursday, June 30, at six o’clock in the evening. This is in order for the public authorities to continue to take appropriate measures and measures to ensure effectiveness and efficacy in limiting the spread of the (Covid-19) pandemic.
