It’s official. The holy month of Ramadan of the year 1444 of the Hegira will begin Thursday, March 23 in Morocco.
The Moroccan Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs indicates that it observed the lunar crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan on Wednesday 29 Chaâbane 1444 of the Hegira, corresponding to March 22, 2022 after the Al-Maghrib prayer.
The ministry specifies that “the Nadirs of the Kingdom and the units of the Royal Armed Forces associated with the observation have confirmed the observation of the lunar crescent announcing the holy month of Ramadan”.
The first day of the holy month of Ramadan 1444 Hegira will therefore correspond to Thursday, March 23, 2023.
