Morocco Tourism Booms: 12.3 Million Tourists Arrive in 2023, On Track for Record Year

The flow of tourist arrivals in Morocco reached 12.3 million at the end of October 2023, a significant increase of 39% compared to the same period a year earlier, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and Economy social and supportive.

After a record month of September, October maintains, according to ministry figures, a positive dynamic, welcoming 1.2 million tourists, an increase of 3% compared to October 2022.

“We have just crossed the threshold of 12 million visitors in 2023, despite the challenges encountered following the Al Haouz earthquake. These achievements reinforce the efforts made by our country in terms of promotion and diversification of source markets,” declared Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Crafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy, for the occasion. And to continue: “we are on track for a record year with 14 million tourists”.
