It is, nevertheless, the reality for Mors-Thy Handball, who with a victory over GOG in the last round of play will in any case play in the intermediate stage with a bonus point and a minimum of fourth place.

This means that in order to finish third, Mors-Thy not only has to win over GOG, but it also has to win big enough to overtake BSH on the goal score in the event of an expected BSH victory over Skanderborg AGF.
It is a calculation with many potential intermediate calculations, but for the Mors-Thy players, it is solely the opportunity to play a fun match against GOG that fills the preparations.

– They have some extremely skilled shooters who can score from some distances that we are not used to playing against. We must try to find the right height against that, and then I have no doubt that we will probably have to open up their defense in one way or another, says Mads Svane Knudsen.
He is, however, bursting with confidence before the final on Sydfyn.
– We are running around with huge confidence in the squad right now. It’s really cool to be a handball player in Mors-Thy these days. We are experiencing a huge amount of support, and it is something that we can feel right at the tips of our fingers, so it is fantastic.
– Historically, it has been shown to have a great impact on who goes to the semi-finals, and it is usually those who have more points who go on, and it is our goal to reach the semi-finals, says Mads Svane Knudsen.
With a father who is talent manager and academy manager at the club, Mads Svane Knudsen was almost born into Mors-Thy Handball, and thus he can easily remember when the club was in the DM semi-final for the first and only time.
– Now there has been so much talk about the semi-final the club reached in 2013. I was sitting in the stands then. I want to try to experience it as a player, says Mads Svane Knudsen, who has an ambition to try something big with his heart club this season.
– It could be so big if we could play in that semi-final, and that’s what we have to go for.
Mors-Thy’s match against GOG has been selected by TV2 as the main match of the round. All matches in the final round of the regular season are played at the same time. The match starts at 4 p.m.
