According to the information, the attack took place in the center Crocus City Hall with the gunmen not being just three – as initially reported – but more, at least five, even wearing military uniforms. Since the attack, the dead amount to over 40 and at the same time the injured seem to exceed 100.
Russian security services are taking all necessary measures, reports IFX citing the Federal Security Service (FSB). More than 70 ambulances have rushed to the scene, the local governor said.

Two to five people attacked the Crocus City Hall concert venue, IFX reports. People are still trapped inside the concert venue as well as on the roof of the building where gunfire and explosions occurred earlier, Russian state news agency TASS reported.

The fire has engulfed a third of the concert venue building, and the roof of the building has almost gone up in flames, TASS reported. The TASS news agency reported that there was an explosion and then a fire broke out in the building where the shooting took place.

John Kirby, a spokesman for the National Security Council, said the White House was working to gather more information about the attack.
“Our thoughts will obviously be with the victims of this terrible, terrible shooting,” he said at a regularly scheduled press briefing.
The US State Department issued a statement to Americans in Moscow to avoid larger gatherings “for their own safety”, it said.
He also asked the Americans in question to stay in touch with the State Department for further updates and information.
