Most expensive in the West: At the Wienerschnitzel price, Graz even breads Vienna and Klagenfurt

The prices for Austria’s national dish vary greatly depending on the federal state. You have to pay between an average of 8.85 euros in the district of Jennersdorf (Burgenland) and 16.65 euros in the district of Dornbirn (Vorarlberg) for a Wiener Schnitzel with a side dish. This comes from a survey by the opinion research institute GMO out. The main reason for the west-east gap in schnitzel prices is the greater importance of tourism in the west, which also raises the price level for locals. From this point of view, the people of Graz should taste that they do not live in the holiday hotspot of the Alpine Republic. Because on the Mur you can get Viennese for 11.20 euros, which is on the cheaper side compared to Austria.
