“It is expected that by the time the SPIC expires, the level of product localization will reach 5,000 points,” said Denis Manturov, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. — During the implementation of the project, more than 242,000 electric vehicles of five models will be produced.
By the way, the localization level of 5000 points looks absolutely fantastic against the backdrop of current achievements of rusavtoprom: for example, in 2021, the localization of UAZ Patriot was 2209 points, Renault Duster – 2149 points, Lada Vesta – 3200 points, Lada Granta – 3280 points. The admixture of imports is still high even in native Russian models.
Officials, however, are full of optimism and declare the creation of 2,000 jobs.
– This is another major project, the implementation of which was entrusted to the Lipetsk region. People will get new jobs, the regional budget will receive additional tax deductions,” said the head of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov. – The investment contract was signed in a rather difficult period, but its scale suggests that against the backdrop of sanctions and some difficulties, economic development, and at the same time import substitution, is proceeding at a steady pace.
