The Presidency of the Public Prosecution Service and the Public Prosecution Service of Saudi Arabia, on Monday, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at intensifying bilateral cooperation in the judicial field.
The MoU was initialed by the Attorney General of the King at the Court of Cassation, President of the Public Ministry, El Hassan Daki, and the Attorney General of Saudi Arabia, Saud Ben Abdallah Al-Moujib following their talks, and focuses in particular on strengthening cooperation between the two institutions.
The meeting between the two officials was also an opportunity to explore new prospects for bilateral cooperation in the judicial field and in the fight against transnational organized crime, money laundering and new forms of crime.
For El Hassan Daki, this memorandum of understanding aims to promote the exchange of views and experiences, coordination and cooperation between the two countries to deal with transnational crime, noting that the signing of this agreement testifies to the solidity of the bonds uniting the two Kingdoms.
It will also allow, he added, to launch joint training sessions in the field of justice and to mobilize internationally to fight against organized crime.
For his part, the Attorney General of Saudi Arabia said that his visit to Morocco (February 11-16) comes within the framework of efforts to intensify cooperation ties between the two countries, particularly in the field of justice and the action of the public ministry.
The encounter; attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Morocco, Abdullah bin Saad Al Ghurairi, members of the Saudi delegation and judicial officials at the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, was an opportunity to review the evolution of the Moroccan judicial system and the experience of the independence of the judiciary in general, and of the public ministry in particular.
