Bathing as an exception
A surprising exception is the spa town of Baden, whose deputy mayor, Helga Krismer, leader of the Green Party, says: “Baden is a modern city with the best international relations, and with British Bath we are on the UNESCO list of spa towns. Nevertheless, the mourning flag is inappropriate at the funeral of a monarch.” Sometimes also because Great Britain is no longer part of the EU. Krismer: “Personally, Brexit was a day for me when mourning flags would have been appropriate.”
