6,400 tourists will disembark from the MSC flagship in the port of Naples every Monday. In total, more than 550 thousand cruise passengers will travel to the Neapolitan port during the year. Very optimistic forecasts from the MSC group which also wanted to measure the economic impact produced by its various activities: an impact that exceeds half a billion thanks to activities linked to cruises, ferries, cargo, logistics, terminals and shipbuilding and ship repairs, port services and professional training.
On the day in which MSC Crociere’s summer season officially kicks off in Naples with the arrival in port of the flagship of the fleet, the MSC World Europa, the company renews MSC Crociere’s commitment to the territory by confirming the completion of the hiring plan long-term in the Naples office of 600 young people between 2020 and 2024.

Hiring underway for 600 young people
The link between the Company and the Campania region goes far beyond the presence of ships in the port of Naples. In fact, to cope with the continuous growth of the fleet, which did not stop even during the pandemic period, MSC Crociere has strengthened its presence in Naples year after year, increasing the number of employees and making important investments for the expansion and the technological adaptation of the historic headquarters in Via Depretis. Since 2020, the hiring plan has seen the entry of approximately 530 young people and by the end of this year another 70 will arrive, for a total of 600 new fixed-term and permanent hires in just 4 years. The 70 profiles that the company intends to hire by December will have to be inserted mainly in the IT, Finance and Sales & Marketing areas. For the management of maritime personnel who work on the 22 ships in the fleet, MSC Crociere also has an office in Sorrento with a Training Center which is considered a structure of excellence, also equipped with a futuristic navigation simulator, where training and refresher courses for all the officers of the MSC fleet are organised.
