Municipal elections in Córdoba: how is the Single Ballot to vote

The Single Vote Ballot (BUS), paperwill be the one that the people of Cordoba authorized by the electoral register will use to vote for the next municipal mayor of Córdoba, the councilors and the tribunes of account in the elections that will be held next sunday july 23.

This paper ballot will have four columns: the first, with a black background, with the 11 mayoral candidates and their respective parties, which has the option of marking the complete list. When this option is chosen, you will be selecting councilors and tribunes from the same list, which will not require you to check any other box.

But there is also the possibility of “ballot cutting”, which is carried out by selecting candidates from different parties. It is executed leaving aside the first column, which is only for the complete list vote, and marking the selection chosen in each of the following two columns: the second is for mayor, vice president and councillors; and the third is for tribunes of account.

The fourth column is the Vote of Preference Option that allows modifying the order of the list of councilors presented by each party. It is the selection least used by voters and has practically no incidence in the elections because the councilor only moves up if he obtains 2% of the preferences.
