Pitso Mosimane, coach of the first team in Al-Ahly club, responded to the news circulated in the past period about the possibility of his dismissal from the training of the Red Genie, after losing the African Champions League title.
Musimani commented on the news that had been circulated in the Egyptian press reports during the past few days with irony, as he made it clear that he heard the news of his dismissal from Al-Ahly training every week.
Mosimane said during statements to the media in South Africa today, Thursday: “To leave the club? I am sacked every week in Al-Ahly.”
In the past few days, the South African media focused on the anger of some technical analysts in Egypt at the level that Pitso Mosimane offers with Al-Ahly, and some of them demanded his dismissal from the team’s training.
It is noteworthy that Musimani has trained Al-Ahly since October 2020 until now, and succeeded with the Red Genie in winning the African Champions League twice, reaching the final once, winning the bronze in the Club World Cup twice, and the Egypt Cup once.
Last March, Al-Ahly club announced the renewal of his contract with Pitso Mosimane for the next two seasons, in addition to the remainder of his contract this season.
