The withdrawal of billionaire Elon Musk’s offer to buy Twitter might only be a technique to lower his offer, according to an expert.

“The idea in there is to have the real detail because followingwards he might modulate the amount he is willing to spend on the Buyout of Twitter. It might reduce the amount because if we realize that 40% of the accounts are fake, well that loses its value, ”says Bruno Guglielminetti, digital media specialist.

Although this tactic seemed to surprise many people, this is not the first time that the founder of Tesla has used this kind of maneuver.

“We are not surprised because it has already happened that he withdrew from an offer that was on the table, but obviously with the enthusiasm he had and it felt like the transaction was approved by the American pharmacies”, says the expert.

The initial offer was 44 billion dollars, but according to this specialist if with the more precise data, Elon Musk realizes that there are more fake accounts than his first estimate, he might renegotiate a price down and save a lot of money.

“When we talk regarding billions of dollars if we are able to remove one or two, I think everyone around the table will be happy,” he said.
