Nadia Mourouzi made a heart-felt confession on Thursday afternoon when she was at Studio 4 of ERT, where she mentioned her long-term relationship with Dimitris Papamichael and the late actor’s tendency towards depression.
“Dimitris Papamichail was very melancholic during the last period of his life. He was a hypersensitive person and when I sometimes hear people say “Dimitris when he was young did that or the fights with Aliki”, I can’t imagine that. I can’t, let’s say, imagine Dimitris being violent, not even for a joke,” the well-known actress initially confessed.
“I met him in the theater and what happened between us was not exactly love, it was something very deep. Like something is pulling you and won’t let you go. That is, it was something very intense. We met through a mutual friend, we went out one night, I saw him, he saw me, and then we talked about something over a text and that’s how we bonded.
In fact, Dimitris was wary of me because I was younger and in the middle of things. However, the issue of cooperation was never raised and I believe he appreciated that.”
“At some point I confess that our relationship had some difficulties. From one point on, I think he had some depression, I was also locked in with him. But I stayed with him because I couldn’t leave. There are moments when you say “I can’t get away from this”.
It was very interesting intellectually and it is a point of mine that is a bit “self-destructive” because it is not easy, instead of running to the beaches at that age,” Nadia Mourouzi added, honestly, on the ERT show.
“The “ghost of Alice” did not exist in our relationship because he had other relationships before me. All I can say is that I could never marry Dimitris because… he was with Aliki Vougiouklakis!
I’m not discussing this! As a couple they have left an era, they have a “sanctity” for Greece, so I had no job there. He wanted us to get married and he had told me twice.”
