From July 4-8, 2022, the Australian Embassy is hosting a series of free events in Paris to celebrate Australian First Nations cultures. Every day of “NAIDOC Week”, discover all the richness of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through private visits to exhibitions, film screenings, culinary workshops or even activities specially designed for children.
Every year in July, Australia pays tribute to the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the occasion of the NAIDOC Week. For the first time, theAustralian Embassy in Paris and its partners offer a wide program offree activities every day from July 4 to 10 (on registration only).

- Monday, July 4:
12h30: Private guided tour of the exhibition Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori, one of Australia’s foremost contemporary artists, Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art,
- Tuesday, July 5:
Daytime : Culinary workshop at the Australian Embassy with Kath Witbreuk, chef of the Ambassador, around the ingredients of the bush,
12h : Private tour of the exhibition Destin, the Art of Destiny Deacon at the Australian Embassy, with curator Myles Russell-Cook from Melbourne. Tour in English.
- Wednesday July 6:
9h30 : Exclusive visit to the Australian collection of the Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac, with the curator of the collection.
13h: Private tour of the exhibition claim the land at the Palais de Tokyo, with the curator of the exhibition.
19h : Film screening « High Ground »directed by Stephen Johnson, in the auditorium of the Australian Embassy. In VOST.
- Thursday July 7:
8:30 a.m.: Panel discussion on the ethical trade in Aboriginal art at the Australian Embassy, with the President of the indigenous Art Code live from Australia, as well as speakers from Paris.
18h30: Screening of the documentary « Etched in Bone » at the Australian Embassy in the presence of the director,
- Friday July 8:
9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Children’s Day at the Australian Embassy with activities around the 6 seasons (drawing, painting and craft workshops, cooking, reading and music).

- BUNURU – A TV corner
- DJERAN – A culinary workshop around bush ingredients
