Namur: a pedestrian hit by a motorist under the influence of alcohol and cannabis

Saturday morning, around 6 a.m., at the exit of the “Le flagrant délire” nightclub, a vehicle with several passengers on board hit a pedestrian.

The driver, under the influence of alcohol and cannabis, fled, then surrendered to the police.

Presented on Saturday to an investigating judge, he was charged with attempted murder and malicious obstruction of traffic. He was placed under an arrest warrant.

The prosecution has appointed an expert to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident. The magistrate on duty specifies that the pedestrian was seriously injured but that his life is not in danger.
