New Delhi: American space agency NASA has predicted that 2023 will be the hottest month in modern history. NASA reports that July 2023 was the hottest month in a century and a half. NASA’s Goddard Institute came to this conclusion by examining data dating back to 1880.

The regions of South America, North America, North Africa and the Antarctic Peninsula felt the most of this heat. According to NASA’s report, these regions experienced an increase in average temperature of up to four degrees Celsius.

“The temperatures of July 2023 in previous years were not there. This July was our hottest month on record. It goes back to 1880. Gavin Schmidt, director of the Goddard Institute, said in a statement. This is not normal. “A rise in average temperatures will fuel dangerous extreme heat,” said Gavin Schmidt. “Climate change is affecting people and ecosystems around the world,” said Kathryn Calvin, senior climate advisor and scientist at NASA Headquarters.
