NASA has revealed its combination to go to the Moon, with the Artemis 3 mission. Better equipped, it will be worn by the first woman to set foot on the lunar soil.

Strong emotion for the NASA teams, who had been waiting for a long time for the suit to return to the Moon, more than 50 years after the Apollo 11 mission. A $ 228 million outfit, much less rigid than that of Neil Armstrong, the first to set foot on the lunar surface in 1969. This spacesuit will dress the first woman sent to the Moon.

“When the first woman sets foot on the surface of the Moon, with Artemis 3, she will be wearing this spacesuit, and I can’t wait to see that”, said Robert Cabana, Associate Administrator of NASA. Integrated high-definition camera, survival backpack… The Artemis mission equipment will be of the latest generation. The capsule will be more spacious than its elders, and is planned to carry four astronauts instead of three. The French Thomas Pesquet, for his part, already imagines putting it on, as he confessed on Twitter, Wednesday March 15.
