Julián Guerra, a soldier of the Infantry Battalion number 26 dthe municipality of Garzón, Huila, denounced the institution through social networks for stealing the money from the food of the military. He even stated that they ask them 30 mil pesos to give them lunch.
“The money from the soldiers’ food cannot be taken out because it is sagrada. The soldier is the one who is risking his life for someone else to come who earns more than one, who lives better than one, because the Colombian soldier lives at home, in a neighborhood. How are we going to get our things, if every time is 30 thousand for the food? That way no one can progress,” Guerra denounced.
The soldier also claimed that his life is in danger for these complaints and that he is capable of requesting discharge.

Faced with this complaint, the Defense Minister, Iván Velásquez, answered to the soldier. He said that he is going to speak personally with the professional soldier Julián Guerra to directly receive the complaints from him. He stated that the welfare of the soldiers is a priority for the government of human security.
