Caracas.- The president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, rejected the recent events that occurred during the development of the elections for authorities of the Central University of Venezuela. In this sense, he pointed out that these actions “They reveal the dictatorial face of the rectory team of this house of studies and of the opposition in general.”
During an intervention in the plenary session of parliament this Tuesday, Rodríguez criticized all the failures and the lack of transparency to carry out the elections, which was attended by thousands of students and graduates of the UCV.
He denounced that, during this activity, the ballots disappeared, they allowed the special ballots to be damaged so that they would not be read in the voting machines and they did not allow the support of the National Electoral Council (CNE) in order to hinder the democratic exercise within this institution.
“What is stained is the face of the Venezuelan opposition, who exercises a dictatorship at the Central University of Venezuela. They exercise barbarism, do not allow the exercise of democracy and then try to wash their face in the world talking about democracy,” he said.
