National Council: Additional earnings limit for child benefit increased

In addition, displaced people from Ukraine will be entitled to childcare allowance and family allowance for another year – until March 4, 2025.

Specifically, the applicable limit for income-related childcare allowance or flat-rate childcare allowance will be increased from 7,800 to 8,100 euros annually. This will happen from January 2024, as due to the valorization of family and social benefits, marginal employment during maternity leave would otherwise not be possible without exceeding the income limit.
