After 5 defeats in a row, the LHC is back on the road to victory. The Lausanne residents clearly beat defending champion Zug on their ice rink with a score of 6-1.
After two consecutive defeats, Zug coach Dan Tangnes bet on Luca Hollenstein in front of the cage. Leonardo Genoni’s backup goalkeeper takes no responsibility for the loss, but he failed to make the crucial save that would have kept his team-mates in the game.
John Fust’s players, with rediscovered bite, made the difference during the 2nd period. After Tim Bozon opened the scoring on a nice deflection of a pass from Daniel Audette (29th), the Lausannois went wild with 3 goals in less than 4 minutes by Jiri Sekac, Damien Riat and Ken Jäger. The Czech Jiri Sekac was the author of 4 points.
Biel dominates Kloten
HC Biel had a good weekend. After a success on the ice of Zug (4-3 ap), the Seelanders took the best (6-2) over a Kloten who was struggling in his new category of game. From the 7th minute, Beat Forster had everything time to step forward to arm an unstoppable shot. Mike Künzle scored twice.
