NNA – The water level in four large Swiss lakes has fallen to its lowest level for the month of August due to lack of rain, according to the “Agence France Presse” quoting the Federal Environment Office.
“Low water levels have been recorded in Switzerland, particularly in the central plateau and in southern Ticino, the Italian-speaking region of the country,” said Michele Oberhansley, data officer at the Environment Office.
She attributed the reason to “the lack of rainfall in 2022.”
