Natural gas production in China maintained a steady increase last month, official data showed.
In August, the country’s natural gas production reached 17 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year growth of 6.3 percent, data from the State Bureau of Statistics showed.
In the first eight months of the year, China reported natural gas production of 143.7 billion cubic meters, up 5.5 percent from the same period a year earlier.
Between January and August, China’s natural gas imports fell 10.2 percent to 71.05 million tonnes, the data showed.
