Abu Dhabi: Adnoc discovers natural gas storage in Abu Dhabi Sea Adnok, the national oil company, has said that 2 trillion cubic feet of natural gas reserves have been discovered in the Abu Dhabi Sea. According to initial exploration reports in the 4,033 sq km offshore block 2 northwest of Abu Dhabi, there is 1.5 to 2 trillion cubic feet of crude gas.

The Offshore Block 2 expedition is led by a consortium of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited. A three-dimensional survey of the country’s oil and natural gas reserves also led to the discovery of new reserves. The UAE Minister of Industry and Technology, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) Group CEO and MD, said the new discovery would lead to new exploration and refining partnerships.
