Private sources revealed to Al-Riyadiah that Nawaf Al-Aqidi, the goalkeeper of the Al-Nasr first football team, was removed from the Al-Taawun confrontation, on Friday, by a disciplinary decision from the Portuguese team coach, Luis Castro.
The same sources indicated that the coach imposed a disciplinary penalty on the goalkeeper due to his late attendance at the start of his team’s camp program in preparation for the confrontation.
On Friday, Al-Nasr suffered a second consecutive loss in the Roshen Saudi Professional League, in front of Al-Taawoun at home and among its fans with two clean goals, after it was defeated in the opening round by Al-Ettifaq “2-1”.
On Saturday, Al-Nasr will launch its preparations for the Asian Supplement match, next Tuesday, in front of the Emirati youth of Al-Ahly Dubai at Al-Awal Park Stadium in Riyadh.
It is noteworthy that Ali Lagami, the team’s defender, will not be able to participate in the Asian confrontation due to suspension, after he was sent off against Al-Hilal in the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League before last.
