Led by an outstanding Anthony Davis, the Los Angeles Lakers have won their eighth win in the past ten games in the NBA.
Davis delivered 55 points and 17 rebounds in the 130:119 against the Washington Wizards, only once in his career has he had a better point tally. After the miserable start to the season, the team around national basketball player Dennis Schröder has now worked its way back within reach of the playoff places and now has ten wins and twelve defeats. Schröder had four points, eight assists, two rebounds and two stolen balls.
The top teams in the league also picked up wins. The Boston Celtics defeated the Brooklyn Nets 103-92, with Jaylen Brown scoring 34 points for the Eastern Conference leaders. Kevin Durant had 31 points for the Nets, who previously had four straight wins. The Phoenix Suns won their away game at the San Antonio Spurs 133-95 and are still at the top of the Western Conference. The New Orleans Pelicans came to a 121:106 against the Denver Nuggets in the chasing duel. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the New York Knicks around Isaiah Hartenstein, who scored ten points at 92:81 for the Knicks.
