However, this Monday May 9a French tourist was shot dead in the middle of the street in Salou.
Facts
The French of 24 ans was spotted crossing Zaragoza Street in the city center around 22h45. That’s when three hooded men approached the victim.
Without any discussion, they allegedly shot him several times. According to witnesses, it could be 3 or 4 shots. The tourist died instantly.
The scene took place in the middle of the street, in front of the still full restaurant terraces.
The arrest of a suspect
Two waiters who observed the scene managed to catch up with one of the three suspects. They immobilized him on the ground, waiting for the arrival of the local police. The man who was armed, struggled without succeeding in fleeing.
The suspect then arrested by the police, would be a 32 year old Frenchmanwho wore a semi-automatic pistol, as well as a knife. However, the arrested man would only be an accomplice, and not the material author of the facts.
The man is currently being held by law enforcement while his two accomplices are still on the run. According to Tarragona newspaperthe man who fired the shots would be about 1.60m tall and wear a gray sweater.
