Arab media have claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is facing opposition from his own negotiators regarding the ceasefire.
According to the Arab news agency “Al Arabiya”, Netanyahu insists that Israel will not vacate the so-called Philadelphia Corridor located in the south of the Gaza Strip, while Israeli negotiators have a different point of view.
The Philadelphia Corridor, which runs along the Egyptian border, and the Nitzaram Corridor, which runs through the middle of the Gaza Strip, have been two of the main points of contention in talks supported by Egypt, Qatar and the United States.

However, the person briefed Arab media said Netanyahu had agreed to move one of the Philadelphia positions by a few hundred meters but would retain overall control of the corridor even though members of his own negotiating team Has pressed for more concessions.
“The prime minister insists that the situation will continue, contrary to pressure from some elements of the negotiating team who are ready to withdraw,” said the person with close knowledge of the talks.
Israeli TV Channel 12 reported this week that Netanyahu had criticized the negotiating team, led by David Barnia, the head of the Mossad intelligence service, for being willing to make too many concessions.
