The prime minister says the Israeli military (IDF) has not received confirmation that Deif is dead following the attack once morest al-Mawasi outside Khan Younis earlier Saturday.

The IDF has said that Deif was the target of the attack on Saturday, and several Israeli media have speculated whether he was killed.
The deputy leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Khalil al-Hayya, has rejected Israel’s claim that Deif was the target of the attack and said that all the dead were civilians. He further claims that Netanyahu wanted to break the news that Deif had died at the press conference on Saturday, but that he had no proof of that.
– The blood of Mohammed Deif is no more valuable or better than the blood of a small Palestinian child. Nevertheless, we say to Netanyahu: You have failed. Mohammed Deif is listening to you now and mocking your false, empty statements, al-Hayya adds Al Jazeera.
The attack on al-Mawasi is among the deadliest in the Gaza Strip in weeks. At least 90 people have been killed, and many injured, according to Palestinian health authorities.
