Although the details of the specific game have not been disclosed, it is certain that Marko Lastikka, who has worked at Zynga and EA, will serve as the director of the project.
In Netflix’s view, Helsinki is the place for some of the “best gaming talent” (they acquired in March Next Games from here). But because we’re starting from scratch, we probably won’t see the output of Netflix’s studio for “a few years.” Having said that, once this part of the business really develops, it should also be beneficial for Netflix to increase subscribers.
