From mid-September, certain French people will have the possibility of requesting an energy bonus amounting to 250 euros, thanks to a new energy check set up by the South Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region for its residents. .
A necessary boost. The South Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region has decided to set up an exceptional new system called the “250 euros energy boost”. This initiative follows the non-renewal of certain social assistance by the government, in particular energy and fuel checks.
The aid will take the form of a check intended to provide support to the French “in this period when the budget [des foyers] is impacted by energy costs,” explains a press release.
Aid paid before the end of the year
It will primarily target “single-parent families, large families and poor workers”, according to details provided by Renaud Muselier, president of the South Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. Households whose reference tax income for 2022 or 2023 is less than or equal to 60% of the median regional income are eligible.
It is important to note that this check will only be granted upon request. The region has announced that eligible people will be able to submit their application from September 19.
The deadline for submitting applications has been set for November 22 and payment should take place before December 31.
