In more detail, the announcement states:

From today, Tuesday, February 6 at 12:00, the online application for the new Special Assistance for Vulnerable Groups is available, amounting to €718.50 (37.5 daily unemployment benefits), increased by 10% for each child placed in effective from 29.12.2023.

The new provision of DYPA aims to support particularly vulnerable social groups – who do not establish a right to unemployment allowance – for their smooth reintegration into the labor market, strengthening and expanding the DYPA social protection net for the unemployed. Specifically, beneficiaries of the benefit are unemployed:

  1. Parents of a single parent family
  2. Released
  3. Women, victims of gender and/or domestic violence
  4. Victims of violence – trafficking
  5. Free from addictive substances.

According to newsit, conditions for granting the aid are the unemployed:

  • be registered in the DYPA Digital Register of the Unemployed with one of the above qualities when submitting their application
  • have completed 1–75 days of insurance in the e-EFKA anytime in the last 2 years before submitting their application (or since the start of the sentence, for those released from prison)
  • to have an income of up to €16,000 for singles, €24,000 for married couples (increased by €5,000 per child) or €29,000 for single-parent families (increased by €5,000 for each child after the first) and at the same time, the amount of the total gross income from business family activity not to exceed €80,000 and
  • not be simultaneously beneficiaries of regular unemployment allowance, long-term unemployed allowance, self-employed and independently employed allowance and special seasonal allowance.

The benefit is granted once every 2 years. Applications will be submitted exclusively electronically through with TAXISnet codes.

Specifically, the route is: Home / Work and insurance / Unemployment / Special assistance to vulnerable social groups.

The new Special Aid for Vulnerable Groups replaces the special aid granted to:

a) subsidized unemployed who remained unemployed one month after the exhaustion of their subsidy,

b) non-subsidized unemployed who have been unemployed for 3 months within the same calendar year, and

c) non-subsidized unemployed who worked in enterprises that have suspended their operations or that have exercised the right to suspend work.
