At Meaty, the meat is local and sustainable
After two years of online sales, Yann Flores and Ruben Magnin have just opened a stall in Plainpalais. Their credo: quality, proximity and eco-responsibility.
Nowadays, the opening of a butcher’s shop is in itself a small event. Because from more than a hundred some thirty years ago, the number of stalls in Geneva has fallen “to less than twenty currently”: this observation is Yann Flores who does it, all smiles in the small shop that he inaugurated with his sidekick Ruben Magnin on Wednesday September 28 in Plainpalais. Recently in his thirties, the build of an athlete and a fresh face, the friendly duo installed Meaty at 61, boulevard du Pont-d’Arve, in the arcade once occupied by André Vidonne.
