The 45/50 year olds will be the first to benefit from the fall from new prevention appointments offered by Health Insurance at some key ages of life, indicated the Minister of Health to the National Assembly.
“We are starting the + prevention + appointments on October 1, primarily with the 45/50 age group, who are the most affected, and to whom we will go as a priority to offer complete health pathways, “said Minister François Braun during questions to the government.
The Social Security financing law for 2023 instituted these prevention meetings at three key ages in life, candidate Macron’s campaign promise in 2022.
The other age groups concerned by this systematic proposal target people around 20 and around 60.
They will be targeted a little later, from the beginning of 2024, according to Mr. Braun’s office.
Health Insurance will inform the target public of this possibility of prevention appointments.
The voluntary insured will complete a questionnaire to prepare for the appointment, which may take place with a doctor but also with a midwife, a nurse or a pharmacist, according to the same source.
The questionnaire will address topics such as diet, possible addictions, physical activity, sexual health, which the insured can then discuss with the carer.
