The event was attended by the Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Krasnodar Territory, Serafim Timchenko, and the President of the Lokomotiv-Kuban basketball club, Andrey Vedischev.
The new sports facility, which was built by Lokomotiv-Kuban, is located next to the club’s youth training center in the village of Kolosist. Local residents and players will now be able not only to diversify their training, but also to find a new sports hobby for themselves – the stadium is designed for practicing various sports – from basketball, football and athletics, to table tennis and workout.
Sergey Timchenko noted that the Krasnodar region occupies a leading position in the development of physical education and sports in the country.
– On the initiative of the head of the region, complexes within walking distance, martial arts centers, and sports grounds are being built in Kuban. I am glad that this initiative is supported not only by the state, but also by private investors, professional sports clubs, in particular Lokomotiv-Kuban,” noted the regional Minister of Sports.
