British Prime Minister in the New Year of the Rabbit Gordon Brown was born on January 20, 1951 in Glasgow, Scotland. His father was a pastor of the Church of Scotland. From a young age, Mr. Brown stood out from his peers when he had excellent academic records.Among these was Mr Brown’s admission to the University of Edinburgh at the age of 16. In 1994, both wanted to run for the leadership of the Labor Party. Later, Mr. Brown was persuaded and facilitated to support Mr. Blair to run for President of the Labor Party.From 1989 – 1992, Mr. Brown was Minister of Industry and Trade. During the period from 1992 to 1997, he held the position of Finance Minister.Then, from May 1997 to June 2007, he held the position of Finance Minister. By taking up these important positions, he contributed significantly to the economic achievements of the Labor cabinet.On June 24, 2007, Mr. Brown was appointed to the post of Queen Elizabeth II Prime Minister of Great Britain. His term as prime minister was from 2007 to 2010.Accordingly, he became British Prime Minister first Scottish-born since Alec Douglas-Home (Conservative) to hold the post in 1964. Mr. Brown is also one of the rare Prime Ministers in British history who did not graduate from Oxford or Cambridge universities.Regarding the situation, Mr. Brown ended his single life when he married at the age of 50.
