The national team won a precious victory against its UAE counterpart, Thursday evening, with a score of 2-0, in the group stage competitions of the AFC U-23 Cup.
The first goal of the national team was scored in the 57th minute by Ayman Yahya, before Saud Abdel Hamid added the second goal in the 90 + 3 minute from a penalty kick.
With that result, the national team raised its score to 7 points at the top of the group standings, to qualify for the quarter-finals of the tournament, while the UAE’s balance froze at 3 points and left from the group stage.
