Pope Francis’ apostolic visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan, scheduled for early July, has been postponed until further notice, the Holy See’s press office said.
The Holy Father’s trip to the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Sudan from July 2 to 7 has been sadly postponed because he was forced by doctors to avoid losing the results of his knee pain treatment. Matteo Bruni said the postponed travel dates would be decided later.
The capital, Kinhana, the city of Goma, the Congo, and Juba, the capital of South Sudan, were selected for the trip.
