Downtown Jeddah Development Company has signed a contract with Modern Construction Leaders to prepare a site to start construction work for a global destination in the heart of Jeddah.
The contract provided for the implementation of the “modern construction leaders” of the infrastructure and marine works in them, and the removal of buildings and the existing infrastructure, which numbered about 400 buildings, as a first stage, in addition to the re-routing of infrastructure services, including electrical ground installations and sewage pipes. Water supply, with a total of 6.5 km long, and reclamation works, offshore drilling, backfilling resulting from drilling and other works.
The development process of the project is subject to 3 main phases, and modern designs have been adopted with international standards for the project. It also includes the construction of 4 major landmarks in the center of Jeddah, including a museum, an opera house, a sports stadium, coral farms, as well as the surrounding agricultural basins, in addition to the establishment of 10 areas Leisure and tourism in the center of Jeddah.
