A Apple should not equip cameras with 100 MP sensors in new iPhone models in the future. At least that’s what Jon McCormack, vice president of camera software engineering at the company, said in an interview with the newspaper The globe.
According to him, the company has no plans to follow the same path as some rivals in implementing lenses with sensors with greater capacity for photography. Currently, Apple’s most advanced models come with a 48MP main sensor for photography.
Also according to the executive, Apple’s main objective is to improve the iPhone’s camera in other aspects. For example, the company plans to make investments in artificial intelligence as well as processing to use hardware and software computing.
