NFL emotions last in the holiday season – El Sol de Hermosillo

Christmas was decked out with activity from the week 16 from NFL with great meetings where some teams continue their way to playoffs and others gave surprises.

The actions started with the enormous victory of the Jacksonville Jaguars (7-8) 19-3 over the New York Jets (7-8), after scoring 19 unanswered points orchestrated by another great afternoon by young quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who finished off from 20-31 with 229 yards in the air and a touchdown on the ground.

With this victory, the Jaguars took first place in the AFC SOUTH, which was given by the combination of the surprise victory of the Houston Texans (2-12-1) 19-14 over the Tennessee Titans (7-8) with the pass of Davis Mills’ 6-yard score to Brandin Cooks with 2:52 left in the game.

For their part, the Dallas Cowboys (11-4) hit the NFC EAST table by beating the Philadelphia Eagles (13-2) 40-34, avoiding securing the best seed in their conference and securing their ticket to the playoffs.

Dallas, led by Dak Prescott (27-35 attempts, 347 YDS, 3 TDs, 1 INT) and CeeDee Lamb (10 REC, 120 YDS, 2 TDs) put the victory on track at home coming from behind with 13 unanswered points in the last 6 game minutes.

Likewise, the Buffalo Bills (12-3) beat the Chicago Bears (3-12) 35-13 with an impeccable second half in which they scored 29 points against only 3.

Josh Allen went 26 for 15 with 172 passing yards, 2 TDs and 2 interceptions, while Devin Singletary had a TD and 106 rushing yards on 12 carries for Buffalo.

In the duels on Sunday the 25th, the LA Rams (5-10) took the ballots by crushing the Denver Broncos (4-11) 51-14 in a game between eliminated teams.

Baker Mayfield (24-28, 230 YDS, 2 TD) and Cam Akers (23 CAR, 118 YDS, 3 TD) excelled on offense.

Week 16 will close with the confrontation on Monday night, between the Indianapolis Colts (4-9-1) against the LA Chargers (8-6) at Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the former, a game scheduled for 6:15 p.m. (Sonora time).
