After asking the Boston Bruins to trade him last year, it seems Jake DeBrusk has changed his mind.
TSN reporter Ryan Rishaug reports that DeBrusk’s agent Rick Valette advised Bruins general manager Don Sweeney last week that the winger’s trade request has been withdrawn.
DeBrusk signed a two-year, $8 million contract extension with the Bruins last March, even though he had already asked to be traded.
The 25-year-old forward had 25 goals and 42 points in 77 games last season, as well as two goals and four points in seven playoff games as the Bruins were eliminated in the first round by the Carolina Hurricanes .
Drafted 14th overall by the Bruins in 2015, he has 92 goals and 176 points in 321 NHL games.
