Minnesota recovered on Friday the advantage of the ice in the first round of the NHL play-offs which opposes it to St. Louis. The Wild went on to win 5-1 on the Blues ice to lead 2-1 in the series.
Both authors of a goal and an assist, Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek were the main guarantors of the success of the Wild, which was also able to count on a solid Marc-André Fleury in front of his net (29 saves). St. Gallen striker Kevin Fiala, however, has still not unlocked his counter in these play-offs.
Boston returns to the series
Nino Niederreiter, who had scored three goals in the first two games of the series between Carolina and Boston, also remained “mute” on Friday. And the Hurricanes lost 4-2 on the ice of the Bruins, who thus returned to 2-1 in this 1st round of the Eastern Conference.
