The famous Nintendo Switch Online additional pack continues its journey through time, with a cult title to discover from April 15.
Just like lovers of the seventh art, gamers are also nostalgic when they think back to games that rocked their childhood. Fortunately, those who wish to dive back into their most tender years for a few games can now count on time capsules: the Game Pass. Thanks to Microsoft or Sony (who has just unveiled the outlines of the new PlayStation Plus), players can take advantage of subscriptions that allow them to (re)discover titles from previous generations.
After tennis, the famous plumber moves on to golf
Aware of the potential success, Nintendo has also stepped into the breach by launching the Nintendo Switch Online add-on pack. Not content with offering emblematic titles from the NES and Super NES, the Japanese firm has gone even further by recently integrating the Nintendo 64 universe into this additional pack. A few weeks ago, for example, fans were able to rediscover one of the greatest opuses of the saga F-Zero. After making an exception last week with three games from the NES and Super NES, Nintendo will again offer a title from the Nintendo 64 catalog for subscribers. From April 15, it will indeed be possible to rediscover a classic from the famous console: mario-golf.
Not content with having tried football, tennis or the Olympic Games, the famous mustachioed plumber also had his hour of glory on the green. If the graphics have necessarily aged badly, since the title takes us back to the first hours of 3D, it has kept its festive atmosphere and its family gameplay. To accompany the good news, Nintendo has unveiled a trailer, which promises to bring back some memories to the most nostalgic. As a reminder, l’abonnement Nintendo Switch Online + additional pack costs €39.99 per year, and it takes €69.99 for the family version (still per year).

For this comeback on the green (while waiting for that of Nintendo Switch Sports), fans will find the expanded cast of the Mario universe, the whimsical lands that complement the more traditional courses and different game modes such as the famous rings and mini-golf, not to mention the compositions of the prolific Motoi Sakuraba, at who we owe for example the soundtracks of the game Dark Souls and series Tales of, Star Ocean, Baten Kaitos, Valkyrie Profile and Golden Sun. As for mario-golf, it is the fourteenth game to be included in the Nintendo Switch Online add-on pack. For the more curious, the complete list also includes at the moment Banjo-Kazooie, Dr. Mario 64, F-Zero X, Mario Kart 64, Mario Tennis, Paper Mario, Sin & Punishment, Star Fox 64, Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, WinBack: Covert Operations and Yoshi’s Story.
