Nintendo is looking for the artbook leaker

Remember, last February, a user leaked the entire Zelda Tears of the Kingdom artbook in its Japanese version. More than 200 pages of illustrations revealing all the new features that await us in this sequel scheduled for May 12 on Switch. We could see the faces of new characters, Link’s new outfits, his weapons specially designed for this sequel and obviously whole sections of the story were revealed. It was on Reddit that the images and the pdf were shared by a certain JustJulienOffic, whose Discord username “Julien#2743” also made himself known. The latter explained that it was one of his acquaintances who had gotten his hands on this official artbook and that he found it interesting to share the work three months before the game’s release. Obviously, this leak could not have pleased Nintendo who is actively looking for this “JustJulienOffic”, in order to take legal action against him. Nintendo has filed a DMCA subpoena in California district court. This request, if granted, would thus obligate Discord “to disclose the identity, including name(s), address(es), telephone number(s) and email address(es) of user Julien#2743, who is responsible for the publication of infringing content that has appeared” on the Discord channel in question. The noose is therefore tightening for this leaker who therefore risks a legal penalty if he is ever caught…
