The Switch hybrid console is a success story for Nintendo that the company obviously doesn’t want to jeopardize lightly. There is no other way to explain why the Japanese video game company is taking so long to come up with a successor. This reluctance is understandable given the company’s roller coaster ride, from groundbreaking successes like the NES, Game Boy and Wii to less successful products like the Virtual Boy and Wii U.
