For all those who have already had a Wii, you have probably had the opportunity to play the excellent The Legend of Zelda Skyward, the opus of which was created especially for the Wiimote and for the Wii motion Plus.
Reliability was not the main asset of this game, because of the relative maneuverability of the console’s controllers, but don’t worry! It has been greatly improved today with the joy-cons in this port for Switch.
Normally available at €59.99 on the official Nintendo store, we can legitimately find this price a little too expensive for what it is. Indeed, it is a “simple” HD port of the game which was released in 2011.

As we said earlier in this article, the editorial staff tested this game as soon as it was released and it received an excellent score of 16/20 in our columns. Indeed, despite some shortcomings and somewhat aging textures, Zelda Skyward Sword is an excellent game to rediscover.

Nintendo seems to have heard the criticisms leveled at 2011’s Skyward Sword and drastically toned them down. By offering alternate controls and minimizing interactions with Fay that broke the rhythm of the adventure, this new version goes further than other remasters and changes what needed it most. If it shows its age when one is interested in the textures or certain questionable ergonomic choices, it nevertheless offers a gripping adventure which gains all its magnitude in its second part. Skyward Sword HD is a must for anyone who didn’t discover the title at the time and a pleasure for veterans who would like to set off on an adventure on the back of their Célestrier Vermeil. The latter will only be able to appreciate the much more sustained rhythm of the adventure and will rediscover in excellent conditions the origins of this legendary saga.
